LIL WAYNE HEADS TO JAIL
Finally, LIL WAYNE is paying his debt to society. After two postponements caused by, respectively, dental surgery and a fire in the courthouse, Weezy was sentenced to a year in jail on Monday in New York City. MTV reports that a near riot broke out in front of Manhattan Criminal Court building when Wayne showed up, as photographers rushed to get the pics of the star in his last moments of freedom. After being sentenced, Wayne was taken away in handcuffs so he could immediately begin serving his time.
Lil Wayne pleaded guilty this past fall to attempted criminal possession of a weapon, admitting he had a loaded gun on his tour bus. MTV reports that with good behavior, he could be released in eight months.
While Weezy is behind bars, fans won't be lacking for material. Over the past few weeks, the MC has worked frantically to complete videos and songs which his record label plans to release while he's inside.
Before he turned himself in, Lil Wayne posted one last tweet on his Twitter page: "Law is mind without reason...I'll return."
TAYLOR SWIFT HAS HER OWN APP

TAYLOR SWIFT has always used technology to connect with her fans. So, it's no surprise her new iPhone app offers unprecedented access to Taylor's music and the latest tour information. Now available for download at the iTunes store, Taylor's app includes Facebook and Twitter connectivity and a notification system to alert fans whenever Taylor releases new music, photos or videos. You can even connect with other Taylor Swift fans in your area using the application. Taylor's Fearless tour continues Wednesday night in Austin, Texas, but you'd already know that if you had downloaded her iPhone app.
MILEY CYRUS IS DEEP

Now that MILEY CYRUS has publicly admitted that she's dating LIAM HEMSWORTH, her co-star in the new movie The Last Song, reading their joint interview in the new issue of Teen Vogue is more fun. Explaining why she and Hemsworth get along so well, Miley says, "I think we're both deeper than normal people -- what they think and how they feel." She adds, "He's very grateful for what he has, but he doesn't let it go to his head. I'm like that too." As for Hemsworth, he says, "Working with Miley was a lot easier than I thought it was going to be...it was like I had known her before."
Miley's single from The Last Song soundtrack, "When I Look At You," is climbing the charts, but she tells Teen Vogue that lately, music hasn't been floating her boat. She says, "The more I make music that doesn't truly inspire me, the more I feel like I'm blending in with everyone else. So after this next album, I'm taking some time off." She'll be focusing more on film, she says.
The Last Song is in theaters March 31st; Miley will also be seen in a cameo in the Sex & The City sequel this May. The new issue of Teen Vogue is out March 16th.
REALLY LINDSAY?

Lindsay Lohan is suing Internet financial company E-Trade for using her first name in a commercial for a "milkaholic" baby! The commercial aired during the Super Bowl and her lawyer argues:
"Many celebrities are known by one name only, and E-Trade is using that knowledge to profit. They used the name Lindsay. They're using her name as a parody of her life. Why didn't they use the name Susan? This is a subliminal message. Everybody's talking about it and saying it's Lindsay Lohan."
A spokesman for Grey Group, who produced the ad, says that they "just used a popular baby name that happened to be the name of someone on the account team."
LINDSAY LOHAN wants $100 million for her "pain and suffering."

KELLY CLARKSON GOES TO THE BATHROOM MID CONCERT

Ever wonder what performers need to do when they're onstage and have to go to the bathroom? Well, if they're KELLY CLARKSON, they actually leave the stage and answer nature's call. TMZ.com reports that while performing in Germany on Friday night, Kelly ran offstage mid-song. Her band covered for her, and when she returned, she finished the song and then told the crowd, "For the first time in seven years, I couldn't hold it. I had to go. I'm really sorry. I had to pee. I'm not kidding."
KANYE WEST FINALLY MAKES AN APPEARANCE

We knew that KANYE WEST would be appearing on the Fox Family Guy spinoff The Cleveland Show, but now we know when: Entertainment Weekly reports 'Ye will lend his voice to the show's May 2nd episode. According to EW, Kanye will voice a 19-year-old local musician named Kenny West, who takes on Cleveland Brown Jr. in a rap battle as they both try to impress a girl, voiced by TARAJI P. HENSON.
The show's co-creator, RICH APPEL, told EW.com that compared to all the guest stars he's worked with on The Simpsons, Family Guy and King of the Hill, Kanye "could not have been more collaborative or easier to work with," and added, "He showed up 15 minutes early." Kanye has already recorded an appearance for another episode, and Appel hopes to use him more, saying, "He'll become our Sideshow Bob!", referring to the character on The Simpsons, voiced by KELSEY GRAMMER.
